Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Lovelier ("Lovelier", "we", "us") is operated by L. Laurén Oy, a company registered in Finland. By using Lovelier (the "Service"), available at lovelier.dev, you are entering into an agreement with L. Laurén Oy.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and, if using on behalf of an organization, that you have authority to bind it.

3. The Service

Lovelier is a habit tracker that lets you create habits, log completions, view streaks and insights, and optionally sync your data across devices. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with the plan you have selected.

4. Accounts and accuracy

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • send spam or attempt to harm other users;
  • introduce malware, probe, scan, or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content;
  • circumvent any technical limits, rate limits, or feature gates.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including the software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by L. Laurén Oy and is protected by intellectual property laws. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you. Content you create (such as your habits and logs) remains yours; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, applicable taxes, subscription renewal, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If you cancel, your access remains active until the end of the current paid period. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or free from loss of data. The Service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, you may lose access to your data; we recommend exporting your data beforehand using the in-app export feature.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Finland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will let you know in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
